MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – International experts will get involved in the resolution of ecological problems in the Donbass area, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative on resolving the situation in Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 12 April.
Martin Sajdik said that participants of the 12 April meeting of the trilateral contact group paid due attention to the ecological risks arising from flooded coal mines. “This is why the idea to set up an international group of experts was supported,” he noted.
The subgroup on economic affairs of the trilateral group on Ukraine discussed the situation caused by blocked communications and the introduction of so-called external management for enterprises under Ukrainian jurisdiction in several districts of Ukraine's Lugansk Oblast and Donetsk Oblast and the resulting consequences. Apart from that, the availability of water, electricity, natural gas was discussed as well as payments for these utilities.
