Gaidukevich: Belarus, Russia will settle disagreements soon

MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) – I hope Belarus and Russia will overcome the differences in the near future, Valery Gaidukevich, the chairman of the commission for security, defense and fight against crime of the Belaurs-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly, vice chairman of the permanent commission for national security of the House of Representatives of Belarus, told reporters.

“Integration is not an easy process. I think that the disputes that have recently arisen between the two countries will be settled in the near future. All issues will be resolved and we will move forward,” Valery Gaidukevich noted. He also added that there is mutual understanding with Russian colleagues on security matters.

On 28 February, Minsk hosted a session of the commission for security, defense and fight against crime of the Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly which discussed the areas of strengthening military and military-technical cooperation, and also the cooperation in protection of information resources.
