MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Thomas Mayr-Harting, Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia in the European External Action Service, on 26 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Thomas Mayr-Harting is the head of an EU delegation taking part in the fifth session of the Belarus-EU Coordination Group from 26 to 27 April. The meeting participants discussed the current state of bilateral relations, Belarus' participation in the Eastern Partnership initiative, and the implementation of international technical assistance projects of the European Union in Belarus.
Vladimir Makei and Thomas Mayr-Harting also touched upon the situation in the Eastern European region and prospects of cooperation in human rights development.
