Diplomats of Belarus, Sweden discuss Belarus-EU relations

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – A possibility to scale up cooperation between Belarus and the European Union was discussed during the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Kingdom of Sweden Dmitry Mironchik with State Secretary for Foreign Affairs of Sweden Annika Soder, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed the entire spectrum of the bilateral relations, including political cooperation, trade and economic contacts and events, technical aid and educational projects. The diplomats focused on regional situation and the prospects of strengthening ties between Belarus and the European Union. They also discussed human rights issues. Detailed information about economic situation in Belarus was presented to the Swedish counterparts,” the press service noted.

The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission emphasized that Minsk will host many international events in October-November.
