CSTO, OSCE secretaries general in favor of prompt resolving of situation in conflict zones

MOSCOW, 4 April (BelTA) – Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Yuri Khachaturov and Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Thomas Greminger met in Moscow on 3 April. During the meeting they expressed mutual interest in the prompt resolving of the situation in the conflict zones, BelTA learned from CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov.

The parties had a thorough exchange of views upon the topical issues of cooperation between the CSTO and the OSCE, and also on the situation in a number of conflict zones and some negative trends in the international situation.

“The readiness of the CSTO and the OSCE was confirmed to continue efforts to increase interaction on specific projects. The sides also expressed interest in the prompt settlement of the situation in the conflict zones. Yuri Khachaturov showed interest in the active participation of OSCE representatives in the CSTO events,” the spokesman said.

The parties considered prospects of further cooperation and agreed to continue the dialogue on the matters of mutual interest.
