Council of Exporters under Belarusian Foreign Ministry convenes in Minsk

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) – The first session of the Council of Exporters under the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place in the Ministry's National Center for Marketing and Price Studies. The session was chaired by Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Yeudachenka, the Ministry's press service told BelTA.

In his speech Andrei Yeudachenka noted that the main tasks and functions of the Council of Exporters include the development of recommendations and proposals on improving Belarus' export policy, detecting the problems that Belarusian exporters face as they promote their products to foreign markets, and assisting Belarusian exporters with reinforcing their positions on traditional markets and with penetrating new ones.

Over 80 people took part in the first session of the Council of Exporters. Those are representatives of export companies, small and medium businesses, ministries, government agencies, concerns, and municipal government agencies.

Director of the National Center for Marketing and Price Studies Valery Sadokho informed those present about capabilities of the dedicated website www.export.by. Measures designed to support small and medium businesses were presented by the Entrepreneurship Department of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.

The Council of Exporters has been established under the aegis of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in accordance with the roadmap on implementing the 2016-2020 national export support and development program. The National Center for Marketing and Price Studies has been tasked with acting as the secretariat for the Council of Exporters.
