MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – The next round of talks in the trilateral contact group on resolving the crisis in Ukraine's east will take place in Minsk on 5 October, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 21 September.
According to the source, the next round of meetings of the trilateral contact group and its subgroups will take place on 5 October.
The negotiations held on 21 September focused on exchange of prisoners of war, the modality of municipal elections in several areas of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast, security and infrastructure restoration in the conflict zone.
The OSCE's special representative hailed the regular release of hostages that took place on 17 September. “It is another example that the sides can secure positive results if they are willing,” he stated.
