MINSK, 23 August (BelTA) – The next session of the contact group on Ukraine will take place on 6 September, BelTA learned from the OSCE's special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik on 23 August.
On 23 August the trilateral contact group on Ukraine came up with the decision in favor of a perpetual armistice as from 25 August. Discussions about the separation of forces and assets in the conflict zone continued. The subgroup on humanitarian affairs talked about POW exchange. Members of the subgroup on political affairs exchanged opinions in light of the Normandy Four talks, which had taken place the day before. Discussions concerning the Steinmeier formula and the law on the special status of several districts of Donetsk Oblast and Lugansk Oblast took place.More about Politics
