Ukraine's east has become one of the world's most mine-studded places. This is why the coordinator of the trilateral contact group's subgroup on security, Ambassador Ertugrul Apakan underlined the importance of humanitarian demining in a systemic manner. Martin Sajdik also drew attention to the importance of humanitarian demining.

The subgroup on security discussed the observance of the ceasefire and the separation of forces and assets on 19 September.
