CIS heads of government to consider 14 draft documents at Dushanbe summit

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – The heads of government of the CIS states are expected to consider 14 draft documents at the forthcoming summit in Dushanbe, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.

The CIS Heads of Government Council will meet on 1 June to discuss documents developed to expand and strengthen cooperation in economic, humanitarian and other sectors. “The parties will share opinions on economic cooperation, hear out reports on the progress made in the negotiations on the draft agreement on free trade in services,” the Executive Committee said.

The CIS Executive Committee named the most significant documents that the heads of government plan to consider at the meeting. These are the draft concepts on cooperation in innovative energy development and the development of advanced energy technologies, agreements on the development of the intellectual property market. The participants of the summit will also consider the international youth project 100 Ideas for the CIS.

The summiteers will discuss the results of the 2017 audits of the financial and economic activities of the CIS bodies financed from the CIS unified budget and decide on the appointment of the deputy chairpersons of the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS executive secretary and the chairperson of the CIS Interstate Statistics Committee.
