Call for maintaining momentum in Belarus-Egypt economic cooperation

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Egyptian Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil co-chairing the Belarusian-Egyptian trade commission on 25 May. The Egyptian official is currently in Minsk attending a meeting of the joint commission, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum in the bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects in industry, agriculture, woodworking and furniture production, transport and logistics. It was pointed out that the current visit of the Egyptian trade and industry minister and the meeting of the intergovernmental commission are a continuation of the effort to implement the agreements reached during the visit of the Belarusian head of state to Egypt in January 2017.
