Call for common vision for economic development of Europe amid geopolitical tensions

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Its very important to build a common vision for economic development of Europe amid growing geopolitical tensions, Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vasily Nebenzya said at the opening ceremony of the international conference “Laying the foundation in the UNECE region for economic integration and sustainable development towards 2030” in Minsk on 26 October, BelTA has learned.

“It is particularly important to build a common vision for successful economic development of the European region given the unclear global economic prospects, growing geopolitical tensions and deepening crises of every kind,” Vasily Nebenzya emphasized.

He believes that no economy, even the largest one, is able to regulate economic development processes alone. “Systemic problems can be tackled only through joint actions aimed at coordinating economic policies and working out a common approach towards trade and finances,” Vasily Nebenzya noted.
