Belarusian minister of foreign affairs invited to visit Warsaw

MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) – Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski has invited his Belarusian counterpart Vladimir Makei to visit Warsaw soon. The invitation was extended when Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna met with Ambassador of Poland to Belarus Konrad Pawlik in Minsk on 21 September, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the meeting the sides also discussed matters concerning the intensification of Belarusian-Polish cooperation.

BelTA reported earlier that Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna met with Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waszczykowski in Warsaw on 19 July. The sides discussed further advancement of bilateral relations, matters concerning the Belarus-EU dialogue, and regional problems. After the meeting representatives of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that Witold Waszczykowski had been pleased with growing normalization of Belarus-Poland relations. The Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs explained it was meant progress across the board — not only political and parliamentary contacts.
