Belarusian-Latvian agreement on cooperation in nuclear safety approved

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Council of Ministers signed resolution No.624 on 29 August to approve the Belarusian-Latvian intergovernmental agreement on the timely notification about nuclear accidents, on information exchange and cooperation in the area of nuclear safety and radiation protection, the press service of the Belarusian government told BelTA.

The agreement was signed in Minsk on 7 February 2018.

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been instructed to notify Latvia that Belarus had completed the intrastate procedures the agreement needs to come into force.
