MINSK, 9 May (BelTA) – Charge d'Affaires ad interim of Belarus in Spain Aleksei Panferov took part in the celebrations of the 73rd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War at the Fuencarral Cemetery in Madrid, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Spain.
On behalf of the Belarusian embassy in Spain Aleksei Panferov laid a wreath at the monument of Soviet volunteers who were killed during the Civil War in Spain.
The event was attended by heads and diplomats of the embassies of Azerbajian, Armenia, Kazakshtan, Russia, and Uzbeksitan, and also the diaspora of these states and representatives of the Spanish public.
Aleksei Panferov wished Happy Victory Day to all those present, emphasized the importance of the holiday for Belarusians and called upon everyone to remember the great feat of the Soviet people.
