Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to King of Sweden

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Sweden Dmitry Mironchik presented his credentials to Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on 14 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

During a traditional audience with the Swedish head of state during the ceremony, the parties noted that there is a wide range of issues equally relevant for Belarus and Sweden: from environmental protection and rational use of natural resources to security and good-neighborliness in the region.

Prior to the royal audience the new head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission met with the leadership of the country department and the state protocol service of the Foreign Ministry of Sweden. The parties stated their mutual interest in further development of the Belarusian-Swedish relations, and discussed the promising areas of cooperation and concrete steps to speed up the restoration of the positive momentum across the whole spectrum of the bilateral agenda.
