Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to Indonesia president

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia Valery Kolesnik has presented his credentials to Indonesia President Joko Widodo, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

During the meeting interest in advancing Belarus-Indonesia friendly ties was confirmed as well as interest in intensifying trade and economic cooperation and business contacts.

Appointing Valery Kolesnik ambassador to Indonesia several months ago, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko reminded that back in 2013 the two countries set out to advance cooperation along several avenues. “Concrete agreements are our main task. They must be implemented. Particularly in such large countries as Russia, China, Pakistan, and Indonesia. It is a huge country that needs everything. They badly need what we offer,” stressed the head of state then.
