Belarus' upper house of parliament to consider about 40 bills

MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) - The Council of the Republic of Belarus' National Assembly will consider about 40 bills during its tenth session, Speaker of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich said during the opening of the session, BelTA has learned.

Mikhail Myasnikovich said that for the sake of improving the legislation in the field of industrial safety, a new draft law has been developed to ensure the safety of people and the environment when operating hazardous production facilities.

In the field of constitutional law, according to Mikhail Myasnikovich, a draft law has been prepared to introduce the amendments and addenda to the law on the judicial system and legal proceedings. "The document provides for changes in the organization and functioning of Belarus' judicial system in connection with the development of a unified system of courts of general jurisdiction," he noted.

Work will be continued on the national legislation within the framework of the Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union, Mikhail Myasnikovich added.
