Belarus, UAE discuss bilateral agenda

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – The third round of the political consultations between the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation took place in Abu Dhabi on 14 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas. The UAE delegation was headed by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Human Rights and International Law Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman. The parties considered the whole range of issues on the bilateral agenda. Particular attention was paid to further development of cooperation in the political, trade and economic sectors, intensification of a visit exchange, and also the expansion of the legal framework of bilateral relations. The sides praised a high level of trust between Belarus and the UAE and fruitful cooperation in the international arena, in particular on human rights issues.

The sides exchanged views on the development of the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, considered ways for resolving regional and international conflicts, and discussed the main trends in the development of bilateral and multilateral relations in the post-Soviet space.
