Belarus to get IAEA SEED mission's report in March 2017 or later

MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – The Site and External Events Design (SEED) mission, which will stay in Belarus on 16-20 January, will release its report in March 2017 at the earliest, BelTA learned from Dmitry Mironchik, Head of the Information Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the source, it takes from three to six months for an IAEA mission to prepare its report because the report has to go through internal approval procedures of the International Atomic Energy Agency.

“However, in this case we've reached an agreement with the IAEA that the sides will endeavor to expedite the process as much as possible. It is far too early to talk about any specific timeframe, but we keep in mind March 2017 as the earliest date,” said Dmitry Mironchik.
