Belarus to discuss international public law in Strasbourg

MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) – The international public law issues will be discussed in Strasbourg with the participation of Belarus, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Mironchik told a press briefing on 14 September, BelTA has learned.

On 21-22 September Strasbourg will play host to the 54th meeting of the Committee of Legal Advisers on Public International Law (CAHDI) at the Council of Europe. Attending the meeting will be head of the legal department at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrei Metelitsa.

The agenda will include the discussion of the decisions and opinions of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe regarding the matters related to the CAHDI, immunities of states and international organizations, the International Law Commission of the United Nations, issues of the international humanitarian law, the structure and functions of the legal services of the ministries of foreign affairs of the Council of Europe member states.
