MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Switzerland-Belarus informal parliamentary group of friendship was set up during a constituent meeting of the Federal Assembly of the Swiss Confederation in Bern, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian embassy in Switzerland.
“This is the first Swiss parliamentary group of friendship set up with Belarus over 25 years of the Belarusian-Swiss diplomatic relations,” the embassy informed.
The group has comprised representatives of the upper and lower chambers of the parliament of Switzerland. The co-chairs of the group are President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Swiss Council of States Filippo Lombardi, President of the Finance Committee of the National Council Margret Kiener Nellen and also MP of the National Council Andreas Aebi.
“The group is open for other MPs of the Federal Assembly of Switzerland,” the embassy said.More about Politics
