Belarus, Sweden confirm commitment to mutually beneficial cooperation

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – Belarus' Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Sweden Dmitry Mironchik has attended together with his spouse and three other foreign diplomats an audience with King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Sweden.

The royal family was also represented at the event by Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel.

Dmitry Mironchik and the Swedish monarch and members of the ruling dynasty discussed issues of cooperation between Belarus and Sweden in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, environmental protection and the economic sector. “The parties praised the growing interest of Swedish business and citizens to Belarus. Dmitry Mironchik spoke about the events that are being prepared jointly with the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce and IKEA Group. The parties emphasized commitment to the development of constructive and mutually beneficial relations between Belarus and Sweden,” the Belarusian diplomatic mission said.

The members of the Royal family were also updated on Belarus' preparations for the 2nd European Games 2019.
