Belarus seeks closer cooperation with Romania

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Belarus hopes to further strengthen the cooperation with Romania, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei wrote in his message of greetings to Romanian counterpart Teodor Melescanu on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Romania, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“In recent years, we have achieved considerable results in the development of the bilateral relations and stepped up the cooperation in politics, trade, economy, culture and other areas,” the message reads.

For his part, Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu expressed hope that the development of the political dialogue and the cooperation in economy, culture and education will be important areas of bilateral collaboration.
