Belarus, Russia to expand cooperation in information security

MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas met with Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolai Patrushev in Minsk on 10 September, representatives of the State Secretariat of Belarus' Security Council told BelTA.

The sides exchanged opinions about topical problems of international and regional security. Stanislav Zas and Nikolai Patrushev discussed a broad range of matters of bilateral cooperation and noted positive dynamics in every area.

During consultations of representatives of the offices of the security councils of Belarus and Russia with representatives of a number of ministries and government agencies close attention was paid to the existing procedures of arms control, to search for new approaches to maintaining peace and stability in Europe, and to cooperation in the sphere of information security.

Heads of the offices of the security councils signed a plan on implementing the main guidelines of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the area of international information security.
