Belarus, Russia discuss cooperation in international organizations

MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – The Belarusian-Russian ministerial consultations on cooperation in international organizations took place in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry.

The consultations were opened by Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov who praised the unity of positions and the similarity of approaches of Belarus and Russia on the majority of issues on the agenda of the United Nations Organization.

During the consultations the sides discussed a wide range of issues such the protection and promotion of human rights within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations, determined major avenues of interaction in the United Nations Human Rights Council, the United Nations General Assembly, and in the humanitarian dimension of the OSCE.
