MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – Belarus' presidency in the Central European Initiative (CEI) in 2017 brought balance to the activities of the organization, CEI Alternate Secretary General Margot Klestil-Loeffler said during the forum “The European Union and the Eastern Partnership: Approaches to Regional Cooperation” on 11 December, BelTA has learned.
“The presidency of Belarus helped it and its partners to establish new contacts and gave the CEI and all of us a new forward movement, brought balance to our activities,” Margot Klestil-Loeffler said.
According to her, the mission of the CEI is to unite different integration processes in Europe. “Our commitment to promote interaction between the countries of the Eastern Partnership and the EU extends to the Eurasian space today. By means of multilateral project activities we support the development of political dialogue and economic cooperation between the EU and three countries: Belarus, Moldova and Ukraine,” the diplomat said.More about Politics
