MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov will be in Tashkent, Uzbekistan to take part in a regular session of the CIS Heads of Government Council on 3 November, BelTA has learned.
The agenda of the session includes about 20 items concerning the main directions of multilateral cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States. The implementation of the free trade zone agreement, which was signed in October 2011, will be one of the most important items on the agenda. The draft agreement on exchanging information required to determine and verify the customs value of merchandise is important for advancing economic cooperation in the Commonwealth of Independent States and will be discussed by the session participants. The protocol on amending the agreement on merchandise country-of-origin determination rules of 20 November 2009 is on the agenda as well.
Participants of the session are expected to sign a statement encouraging the international community to consolidate efforts for the sake of effectively counteracting international cartels. Apart from that, there are plans to approve the concept on CIS member states' cooperation in land amelioration and the concept on cooperation in engineering machines and equipment for the oil and gas industry. Action plans on implementing the concepts will traditionally be approved together with the concepts themselves.
The CIS Heads of Government Council is also expected to discuss other important documents. Participants of the session will decide on the date and place for the next session of the CIS Heads of Government Council.
Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov is expected to have bilateral meetings with heads of official delegations in order to discuss topical bilateral cooperation matters.
