Belarus, Poland intend to establish close interregional ties

NESVIZH, 6 December (BelTA) - Belarus and Poland intend to establish close cooperation between the regions, Marshal of the Polish Senate Stanislaw Karczewski told reporters.

The parties agreed to hold an economic forum and forum of regions in 2017.

“Our cultures are closely intertwined, and we are happy to see that Belarus treats our common history with respect. During this visit, there were a lot of sentimental moments. I am convinced that the border that exists between our two countries should not divide peoples,” Stanislaw Karczewski said.

According to him, the two countries have great potential for cooperation. The parties discussed joint projects in science, education. Poland is interested in establishing stable parliamentary contacts, which will help intensify cooperation in various sectors as early as next year.

The Polish delegation has had good impressions of Nesvizh. The guests were shown around Nesvizh Palace, the park and the Town Hall.

The Polish parliamentary delegation is visiting Belarus on 4-6 December.
