Belarus, Pakistan to step up interparliamentary cooperation

MINSK, 23 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Pakistan intend to step up cooperation between the parliaments. The idea was discussed as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich met with Speaker of the National Assembly of the Pakistani parliament Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Pakistan told BelTA.

The sides discussed the state and prospects of advancing interparliamentary cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan, interaction between the friendship groups in the two parliaments, and the organization of mutual visits of the parliamentary leaders.

It was noted that parliamentarians should play an active part in the advancement of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan for the sake of substantially increasing the volume of the bilateral trade and making the implementation of concrete projects possible.
