Belarus MFA: Recent EP resolution not in touch with reality

MINSK, 5 October (BelTA) – The latest European Parliament resolution on Belarus is another set of cliches, Anatoly Glaz, Head of the Information and Digital Diplomacy Office, Press Secretary of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told the media, BelTA has learned.

“The latest European Parliament resolution is another artificial set of cliches that disregards the objective reality and the experience of passing similar documents in the past. The only thing it does is diminishes the credibility and quality of the decision-making process of the institution itself. We understand why some outgoing European Parliament members want to play with the Belarusian theme. That said, we understand this attitude but do not share it. It has no practical point whatsoever. We recommend that European MPs change an old tune because there are plenty of new ones in the dialogue between Belarus and European Institutions,” Anatoly Glaz stressed.
