Belarus, Malaysia discuss trade, investment cooperation

MINSK, 21 October (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov paid a working visit to Malaysia on 19-21 October to discuss the development of bilateral trade and investment cooperation, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On 20 October Valentin Rybakov held talks with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Sri Reezal Merican and Secretary-General for Bilateral Affairs of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dato' Muhammad Shahrul Ikram, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Datuk Seri Dr. Ismail Bakar, Deputy Speaker of the House Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia Datuk Ronald Kiandee and the executives of the Malaysian company Agromate Holding.

On 21 October Valentin Rybakov met with Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia for Trade Datuk Chua Tee Yong and President of the National Chamber of Commerce Datuk Syed Ali Alattas.

“During the meetings the parties discussed a wide range of issues of Belarus-Malaysia cooperation, including the exchange of visits of the official and business delegations, expansion of trade, economic and investment cooperation, establishment of the legal framework,” the ministry said.
