Belarus, India seek closer bilateral cooperation

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus and India are showing mutual interest in stepping up bilateral cooperation. The matter was mentioned as outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Pankaj Saxena paid a farewell courtesy call on Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties expressed interest in further development of cooperation between the two countries,” the ministry said.

Vladimir Makei thanked Ambassador Pankaj Saxena for his considerable personal contribution to the development and strengthening of the Belarusian-Indian relations in various areas. In his words, a number of important bilateral events organized during the Ambassador's mission in Belarus advanced the cooperation between Belarus and India onto a qualitatively new level.
