Belarus, India discuss cooperation in trade, economy

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei met with Sujata Mehta, Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, to discuss the cooperation between the two countries in trade and economy, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties discussed the whole range of current issues on the bilateral agenda, including cooperation in trade, economy and investment, and exchange of high-level and top-level visits,” the press service said.

Vladimir Makei and Sujata Mehta also paid attention to the collaboration in international organizations.

Minsk hosted the fifth round of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus and the Ministry of External Affairs of India on 22 November. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Valentin Rybakov, the Indian delegation was led by Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs Sujata Mehta.
