Belarus government hand over resignation to president

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – The Belarus government have decided to resign following the presidential election. The decision is laid down by the Council of Ministers' executive order No. 870 of 16 October, the press service of the Belarus government told BelTA.

The government is supposed to resign once a new president is elected in accordance with article 106 of the Belarus Constitution and article 9 of the law on the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 23 July 2008.

The executive order comes into force as of the day it is signed.
