Belarus, France to set up working group on cooperation in tourism

MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna met with French Foreign Ministry Secretary General Christian Masset during her working visit to France. The parties agreed to set up a Belarusian-French working group on cooperation in tourism, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The first meeting of the working group has been scheduled for the second half of 2016.

The parties also discussed the prospects for intensification of Belarusian-French relations. Particular attention was paid to the development of bilateral economic cooperation and ways to strengthen the relations in humanitarian sphere.

Alena Kupchyna and Christian Masset also discussed the development of cooperation between Belarus and the EU.

During her stay in France, Alena Kupchyna also met with head of the Belarus-France friendship group in the French National Assembly Nicolas Dhuicq. The parties discussed the approaches to the development of Belarusian-French inter-parliamentary cooperation, including the preparation of a visit of a delegation of French MPs to Belarus.
