Belarus, France to hold business forum in Minsk in autumn

MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – The organizational issues regarding the Belarusian-French business forum were discussed during a meeting between Belarusian Ambassador to France Pavel Latushko and Nicolas de Lacoste, Deputy Director for Continental Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The diplomats discussed the procedure for conducting the third meeting of the joint commission on economic cooperation due in Minsk in the autumn and reviewed the draft agenda. The parties agreed to organize the fifth Belarusian-French business forum during the same time. Agreements are expected to be signed between the Entrepreneurs Association of France and the National Center of Marketing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus. An agreement in the field of transport is also on the agenda.

Pavel Latushko and Nicolas de Lacoste discussed the approaches to holding regular meetings of Belarusian-French working groups in the field of tourism and environmental protection. The French diplomat welcomed Belarus' decision to extend visa-free access to 30 days.

The parties agreed to continue working on a draft cooperation agreement in higher education
