Belarus' FM to attend Munich Security Conference

MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – Belarus' Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will take part in the Munich Security Conference which will take place on 16-18 February, Dmitry Mironchik, head of the information and digital diplomacy office, spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, told a press briefing, BelTA has learned.

The conference will discuss the prospects for the European security architecture, the fight against terrorism, the current international conflicts, security issues in the fields of health, energy and cybersecurity.

Belarus' minister is scheduled to meet with the organizers of the Munich conference and heads of some organizations to discuss a broad range of issues, including the Belarusian initiatives to strengthen international security.

Held since 1963, the conference is one of the most representative and authoritative world forums in the field of security policy and military-political cooperation.
