MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Head of Mission of the Republic of Belarus to the European Union, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Kingdom of Belgium Alexander Mikhnevich met with Co-President of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly Heidi Hautala and Chair of the EP Delegation for Relations with Belarus Bogdan Zdrojewski on 30 August, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“Alexander Mikhnevich informed the members of the European Parliament about the parliamentary elections in Belarus. The parties discussed the status of the relations between Belarus and the European Union and exchanged views on the prospects of Belarus' cooperation with the European Parliament and the county's involvement in the interparliamentary dimension of the Eastern Partnership,” the press service said.
The parties also discussed issues related to the operation of the Eurasian Economic Union, the process of Belarus' accession to the WTO, and the development of the dialogue in culture and tourism.
