Belarus, EU discuss preparation for EaP summit

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Kravchenko welcomed a delegation of ambassadors of the EU member countries who are in Belarus with a working visit ahead of the Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit in Brussels in November 2017, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides discussed a wide range of matters related to the preparation of the summit in Brussels and prospects for further development of this regional initiative during the meeting. Oleg Kravchenko laid out the position of Belarus on the ways of increasing the efficiency of the EaP initiative. The sides also shared opinions on the whole set of topical matters of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and the EU, the press service said.

The delegation included the ambassadors supervising the Eastern Partnership agenda: Jan Hofmokl from Poland, Anna Westerholm from Sweden and Adriaan Palm from the Netherlands.
