Belarus, Cyprus to bolster ties in trade, economy, investment

MOSCOW, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus and Cyprus intend to intensify cooperation in trade, economy and investment, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia told BelTA following a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cyprus to Russia and concurrently to Belarus Leonidas Markides in Moscow.

“The parties discussed the ways of intensifying bilateral cooperation in politics, trade, economy and investment, and the expansion of legal framework of bilateral relations,” the press service noted.

Diplomatic relations between Belarus and Cyprus were established on 9 April 1992.
