Belarus, Austria map out steps to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Austria are mapping out the steps to develop cooperation in the areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA following the meeting between the ministry's senior officials and Secretary General of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs Michael Linhart.

Michael Linhart and Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei discussed the issues of the Belarusian-Austrian relations and Belarus-EU interaction. "Considerable attention was paid to the prospects for developing the bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual interest taking into account the opening of the Embassy of Austria in Minsk," the press service noted.

Specific steps and activities aimed at promoting the cooperation between Belarus and Austria in the political, trade, economic and investment areas were discussed in a meeting between Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna and Michael Linhart.
