Belarus, Austria agree to foster constructive relations

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Austria agreed to further intensify constructive relations and expand mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas. The relevant matters were discussed during a meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Austria Alena Kupchyna and First Deputy Chairman of the lower house of Austrian Parliament Karlheinz Kopf in the National Council of Austria, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Vienna.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of Belarus-Austria cooperation in politics, trade, and economy. Special attention was paid to the development of the bilateral inter-parliamentary dialogue. Current regional issues and the matters of Belarus-EU cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.

In addition, the parties agreed on the participation of Karlheinz Kopf as honorary guest in the events to celebrate the 25 years of Belarus-Austria diplomatic relations in the Vienna Diplomatic Academy on 24 March.
