Belarus, Albania sign visa-free travel agreement

MOSCOW, 27 December (BelTA) – A Belarusian-Albanian intergovernmental agreement on the mutual cancellation of visa requirements was signed in the Embassy of Belarus in Russia in Moscow on 27 December. The document was signed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to Russia Arben Gazioni, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.

Once it comes into force, the agreement will allow citizens of Belarus and Albania to enter each other's country, stay, and travel in transit for a period of up to 30 days.

The signing of the agreement represents another step in liberalizing relations in the sphere of migration affairs. It is designed to simplify travels for citizens, promote trade and business ties, tourism, expand cultural, societal, and humanitarian contacts.
