MINSK, 19 July (BelTA) – Businessmen of Barcelona are set to visit Belarus in August 2018. The agreement was reached during a meeting of Belarus' Ambassador to France and Spain Pavel Latushko with Belarusians living in Barcelona on 18 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Spain.
Belarusians living in Barcelona asked questions concerning citizenship, the exchange of passports, obtaining permits for permanent residence abroad, consular registration, and the procedure for obtaining visas by Spanish people for entry to Belarus.
Proposals were also made at the meeting to organize Spanish trade missions to Belarus, the export of Belarusian goods to the Spanish market. An agreement was reached to organize, with the support of the Belarusian embassy in Spain, a visit of businessmen of Barcelona to Belarus in August 2018, and also the participation of Belarusian representatives in the festival of Slavic cultures, which is due to take place in Spain in March 2019.
The Belarusian ambassador held talks with the executive director of Balcells Group on the organization of trade and economic events, business presentations, and also the possibility to sign an agreement on cooperation between this law firm and one of the Belarusian law firms.
On 18 July, the Belarusian embassy also held a direct line on Facebook, during which Belarusian citizens living in Spain could receive answers to questions of their interest.
