Ambassador puzzled by hype about Belarusian-Russian forthcoming army exercise

MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are going to stage a usual, conventional army exercise, which is held alternately in either country every two years, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov.

The diplomat remarked that the Belarusian-Russian army exercise will not be the first of a kind. He said he fails to understand the hype surrounding the event. “What's the problem? There has never been hysterics like that,” he remarked. The Ambassador underscored that military attaches of all the embassies usually watch such exercises.

Alexander Surikov said he believes that there is no need to be hysteric about these plans. It is necessary to view these processes with understanding instead.
