MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – I am sure we will be able to remove the issues in the bilateral relations at the level of the working group headed by the economy ministers of Belarus and Russia, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev told the media in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
“I am convinced that the working group headed by the economy ministers of Belarus and Russia will consider all issues carefully, within the framework of practical interdepartmental cooperation. The parties will accommodate each other where possible,” the head of the Russian diplomatic mission said.
The diplomat noted that during the credentials ceremony the Belarusian head of state described the system of relations, the guidelines that Belarus uses in building relations with every country. “I think it was important for citizens of Russia, Belarus, for citizens of the Union State to hear these words from President Lukashenko towards the Union State development, shared history, and common victory over the enemy during the Great Patriotic War,” Dmitry Mezentsev said.
According to him, “millions of Belarusians and Russians would like to see our relations to be even more united, stronger and warmer and would like to know more about each other. First of all this applies to young professionals who in 20-30 years will bear the responsibility for the system of our relations.”
