DAMASCUS, 10 November (BelTA-SANA) - Belarus will continue to provide assistance to Syria, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Syria Alexander Ponomarev said during a meeting with Speaker of the Syrian People's Council Hammouda Sabbagh.
According to Ambassador Alexander Ponomarev, next year the efforts will be undertaken to strengthen inter-parliamentary relations and cooperation. The Ambassador suggested conducting a joint roundtable with the participation of businessmen and economic experts from both countries.
Hammouda Sabbagh, in turn, noted the importance of cooperation between the two countries and urged to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties.
