MOSCOW, 29 October (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia are finishing the work on the agreement on the deployment of a Russian air base in Belarus, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told reporters following the joint session of the boards of the defense ministries of Belarus and the Russian Federation on 29 October, BelTA has learnt.
“The two countries are finishing the elaboration of the interstate agreement on the deployment of a Russian aviation base on the territory of Belarus. At the session of the board we reviewed the work of the task force of the air forces of Belarus and Russia to determine the location of the base,” Sergei Shoigu said.
