Belarus' first train x-ray inspection system was officially put into operation in Brest on 14 February. The modern inspection system to scan freight trains crossing the Belarus-Poland border was installed in the vicinity of Zarechitsa park of Brest-Severny railway station, in line with the interstate agreement between Belarus and China. The Chinese side invested 39 million yuan or $5.5 million in the project. It was implemented with the assistance of the Chinese company Nuctech.
